Дешевые апартаменты в Бангкоке - M N Place
It is often hard to find listings for cheap apartments in Bangkok, so I figure it would about time I reviewed a place I stayed at. The place I am reviewing today is called M N Place, to view the website, click here. Studio prices start at 5,000 baht upwards and one bedrooms start at 9,000 baht and up. They offer both month to month contracts and a discount of 500 baht a month if you stay longer than 6.
This place is near the bottom of the scale for cheap apartments in Bangkok, anything less and you would most likely be living in a mess, unless you wanted to live in the sticks. The room I rented out was a top floor corner room for 6,500baht, appox 40- 44 sq meters with aircon and balcony. (Below)
Here is my sex dungeon, I tried to jazz it up with the yellow, but in hide sight I found out having red/brown covers would be better. As it would hide the blood/scat marks I would usually put on from my extra curriculum activities.

The location of the apartment is BangChak, around a 2 minute drive from BTS BangChak. The apartment also boasts a swimming pool, which can at times be very dirty if it has just rained.

Thanks for the useful info! I just contacted them via email and they quoted me 7500 Baht for 32 square meter room. I see that your review was written a year ago, but your top floor corner room was bigger and 1000 Baht cheaper??!! They are also asking 5000 Baht wire transfer to secure the room prior to arriving (like now), then also 2 months rent for deposit.
To give you a little more info about my situation, I will be staying in Bangkok for 6 months, and really would like to stay around where this MN place is located. I will be arriving in BKK in 10 days, and so far had no luck finding a place to stay.
What do you think? Do you think I should try to negotiate the price, just settle with what they said (Can I trust their wire transfer?), or what are the chances for me to find another place for this price in the same area after arriving in BKK?

Wow 7,500 for a 32 square meter, that seems to be way over priced, maybe because they know you’re a western so have increased the price, I really don’t see that room being worth than 6,500 MAX. Perhaps ask them for cheaper rooms they may have.
Near M N place there’s not to many condos, On nut would be a better option, you will have several places to pick from.
If you stay 6 months or longer you do get 500 baht off per month unless that’s changed. I have never done a wire transfer, but I think if you turn up on the day you should be fine, there office hours are usually 2pm-5pm, but this is Thailand and sometimes they may come in a bit later, best to ask for their mobile number.
2 months deposit is normal, me and several friends stayed there and we all go our deposit back in full.

wow your page is amazing-really helpful. I’m really thinking of coming to this accommodation. I have a few questions:
1) How much would you say you (1 person) paid for electricity and water bills a month?
2) How are these bills paid and checked?
I’m worried with the rent being reasonable that the way the accommodation gets money is through over charging of electricity and water bills.
3) Applying for getting internet in the accommodation- is the installment of internet when you move in?
4)Do all these rooms have showers and bathrooms? Hot water?

1) if you don’t use aircon and just a fan, all in would be around 800 baht per month. If you use aircon, then around 1,200-2,000 depending on how much you use it.
2)Bills are paid at the desk. Electricity you have a meter, and you pay for each unit you use. So read your meter if you think you’re being scammed.
3) If i recall correctly the internet is 500 or 600 baht per month. Its LAN, so bring a wire. It was pretty good for the most part, but the last month of my stay it was quite laggy.
4) Yes all rooms have hot water and showers. (no bath)

Sorry I don’t know much about Cebu other than it’s a lot more expensive in terms of accommodation than Bangkok.
Update: I recently stayed at MN Place in late May/early April 2017. I was quoted 7,500 baht for a studio and 11,000 baht for a one bedroom, 2 bath on a one year contract. Fridge, television and wifi are extra. The price for the one bedroom seems high and when I return in May I will try to negotiate the rent and contract length down. I like the area so I’ll shop some other options too.
As mentioned the building is conveniently located and is only a 15 baht moto ride to/from Bang Chak BTS and a 100 baht taxi ride to Tesco Lotus at On Nut.
