Manoir KTA
Manoir KTA is located right behind Ekkamai Gateway on Soi 40, about a 2 minute walk down the Soi on the left hand side.Waking from the BTS to KTA mansion, takes around 8-10 minutes. The apartment is in a great location in Bangkok, and for the price it is a steal.
The price system for KTA mansion is as follows:
Rooms at KTA mansion start from 7,000 baht upwards, which is pretty good value considering its location and size of rooms. A good friend of mine has stayed here and got all of his security deposit back upon leaving.
KTA mansion corner studio
Before you ask, nope the girl behind the sheets dont come in all rooms (picture is my friends old room), its pretty spacious for a studio and the bathroom even had a bathtub, which is rare for studios. The only downside I have for this place is that for me anyway there is not enough natural light entering the room, which can make it look gloomy, the grey tiled flooring don’t help either.
Since I use my laptop a lot for work, I prefer a lot of natural light. An alternative method could be to to try and buy some white light bulbs, which I’m to lazy for. The reason for the lack of light entering the rooms at KTA Mansion is after the apartment block was built, many other apartments have been built next to it, towering over it. All rooms come with a air con unit and KTA mansion has a on site restaurant, laundry service and mini mart.
Just to let you know KTA mansion is not the most aesthetic pleasing of buildings, but in terms of value for money, its up there. If this does not check what you are looking for, I have many other Bangkok apartment reviews on my site, or if you want to put up your own review, please contact me.
Good review, really enjoy reading your website.
Can you let me know if i can stay here for a month with no deposit, or minimum 3 months?
Hi Jeff,
When I asked the staff they said it would be okay for a month to month, but you wont get away with no deposit anywhere in Bangkok unless you choose to stay in a serviced apartment, which are usually overpriced in my opinion.
And to think I payed 2800 baht every day for my hotel room. These rates are per month right ?
So i should just buy a plane ticket next time. These rooms look nice too!
yes these are the rates per month but unlike a hotel you will have to put down a deposit.
I lived in the room pictured, I’d add that if you don’t have a South facing room on a high floor, you’ll have little natural light. Rooms aren’t great, the lighting in the room is also low, drab grey floors. Air con not very effective.
Positives:
– friendly staff let me just change rooms without a problem, first one was East facing on a low floor, A/C broke, and cracked tiles in bathroom collected a puddle. Second room was better
– location easily the best point, walking distance to Thonglor
– restaurant in the building, and 24 hour MaxValue few mins away
– got 100% of the deposit back as Harvie mentioned
– Allows 1 month rental
– Walking distance to soi 38 streetfood
I’d go for 1 month to see if you can cope with the gloominess and air con issues, as the discount for longer stays isn’t massive, then go from there. Good if you just want to be in the middle of Bangkok for a low price short term, and are fine with a basic place to sleep
