Im not asking anyone to bareback anyway, that is for each and everyone to decide for themselves. I always go without and tested hiv negative not too long ago. My doctor has no agenda in the HIV debate, he is required to advice the use condom but he admitted that i was tested because i had a gonorrhea infection shortly before and then the DOH rules stated it was mandatory with HIV (2 tests, one is to rule out a very recent hiv infection) and syphilis tests. Hiv risk in straight men is low in both oral and vaginal, but not lower in oral.
As for self medication, some places it has been standard procedure to give rape victims 400mg cefixime (gonorrhea) and 1000-1500mg Azithromycin (chlamydia) without STD testing. Especially Cefixime rarely has side effects, Azithromycin otoh can cause painful yeast infections for an extended period in the mouth, not nice.

The lack of understanding in what causes resistance is still a problem, incredibly enough many doctors advice people to use things like Amoxicillin for a full 7 day cure or else resistance is certain, while the CDC says to take Amox only 3 days (for bacterial pneumonia) to avoid resistance, ie the opposite of what we always been told. Meaning we been PROMOTING penicillin resistance when we thought we were fighting it.
@Ploff – If you look at the medical statistics for contracting HIV from oral sex, it’s super super low. Someone would have to have multiple infected sores in their mouth. The risk is almost negligble. Is it still possible to get HIV through oral sex? Technically Yes. But highly unlikely. Your more likely to get struck by lightening than to contract HIV through oral sex. That being said, you can still contract herpes, gonorreah, warts, etc. somewhat easily through oral. But if u must bareback, a bareback blowjob is still the less risky option. But obviously there are still risks.
